A great career opportunity exists in Santam Ltd within the Santam Technology Services (STS) division for an experienced Senior Project Manager (Information Technology). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, followed by a successful transition into project management. The role will ideally be Cape Town based. Principal accountabilities include: Project Planning and Execution (develop project plans including scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budget; lead project teams to execute plans effectively; monitor and report on project progress); Stakeholder Management (establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, communicate updates and risks, manage expectations); Resource Management (allocate resources effectively, coordinate with department managers, manage resource conflicts); Risk Management (identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle); Quality Assurance (ensure deliverables meet quality standards, implement QA processes); Budget Management (develop and manage project budgets, identify cost savings opportunities); Team Leadership (provide leadership and guidance, motivate team members, conduct performance evaluations); Continuous Improvement (identify process improvement opportunities, conduct post-project reviews).
